On July 18, the Bordalo Pinheiro Museum opened the exhibition PARÓDIA CEGA, which brings together the works made by Emma Moro, Francisco Menezes, Léna Lewis-King and Vasco Barata during the fourth edition of the Bordalo Pinheiro Museum's Artist Residency program.

I’m exhibiting a work in progress called ‘Dentro da Boca,’ an art film being developed during the residency period at Museu Bordalo Pinheiro. The main focus of the project is to dive into the Museum’s archives and the work of Rafael Bordalo Pinheiro, with an emphasis on his ironic scenographies and the representation of animals as metamorphic icons. The project seeks to animate Bordalo’s sketches and source materials to reinterpret his iconic imagery, focusing on exploring the motif of the mouth in his work, with its rich symbolism.
